The Great Ubuntu-Girlfriend Experiment « Content... →
Nice post wherein the author gave his Linux noobie girlfriend a set of tasks to accomplish with Ubuntu out of the box. She did pretty well, considering Ubuntu uses GNOME as the desktop, which is a pretty arcane UI, esp. for a Windows user. I always recommend KDE for Linux folks coming over from Windows.
